aquatic sports training base locate at Songmao dam which is 34 km from Kunming
City and 13 km from Chenggong Town. It is quiet set and with fresh airs as well
as none pollution within 10 km around. The water of the dam is rather limpid.
2000 m high and the convenient transport and communication make the training
base to be suitable for aquatic sports, middle-distance race and foot race.
It can also be intergrated training base to receive meetings and tourists. There is 7.6km long and 3 m wide asphalt road around the lake, which is connected to the main road and can be used for cycling and middle-distance race training. There are more than 20 motorboats, excursion boats and "dragon" boats for aquatic training, matches and entertainment. There also are bleachers for more than 2000 people and conning towers and boathouses. The training base has received the middle- distance race team from" Majia jun" and some middle-distance race athletes from Japan and Korea. The athletic achievement all have been improved after the training program and got the excellent score in the national and international matches.
